Starting to Come Together

This is the most exciting part of painting. When your painting begins to look like the picture you are trying to paint. I still have a long way to go but I am very pleased with how it is turning out.

What I'm actually painting

If you imagined these pictures when looking at the brown and white scribbles bellow than you are amazing. These are the actual pictures I am paining in my two new paintings. I will make some minor changes in each but the overall look will be the same hopefully. I think the bottom one will be difficult but if I can do it right I think it will be one of my best paintings yet. The most frustrating part is now waiting for the brown canvases to dry enough to paint over.

Upcoming Art

This is what I am currently working on. I am very close to being done and I am really excited about how it has turned out. I still need to put some finishing touches on it and give it a name. Any suggestions for a title?

The Raw Beginning of Two New Paintings

If anyone wants to see how a painting starts out, here it is. If you can guess what it is, you get a cookie and a button! When I have an actual picture to go off of. what you can do it have the picture blown up to the size of the canvas. Then you paint the whole canvas brown and then put the blown up image on top of the wet paint and trace all of the main lines. This helps to make sure the spacing, placement, and proportions are accurate. All of the detail are up to you after this point. You can make as close to the picture as you want by adding things or taking things away. Pretty interesting huh...

Welcome to my Art Blog

I have decided to create this blog as a means to have my art seen by people. I am very new at painting but have fallen in love with it. I was taught by my father who is an amazing artist himself. I have not been oil painting for very long so as of now my gallery is going to be very very small but I hope to have a nice collection within the next year. Eventually I would love to be able to sell my paintings. So if you have any advice, would like to commission me to paint something, or you are interested in purchasing a painting please let me know.
Thank you for visiting my new blog and I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoyed creating it.
